Pushing county and city crews for frequent culvert clearing, roadside ditch maintenance, and storm runoff upgrades to prevent neighborhood flooding.
Advocating for additional streetlights at dark intersections, pothole repairs, and safer pedestrian walking routes for our children and morning walkers.
Standing with our hardworking classroom teachers, protecting public education funding, and expanding after-school safe havens for local youth.
Connecting our elders to county health screenings, prescription relief resources, and community transportation to medical appointments.
Ensuring every eligible neighbor in Precinct 84 is registered and has free, reliable transportation to the ballot box on Early Voting and Election Day.
Organizing block cleanup days, bulky item collection drives, and advocating for shaded park benches and playground upgrades.

Alma Butcher is a dedicated grassroots organizer, community activist, and proud Democratic Precinct Chair for Precinct 84 in Hidalgo County.
As a member of the Hidalgo County Democratic Party County Executive Committee (CEC), Alma works closely with local leaders, teachers, precinct chairs, and neighbors to champion voting rights, public investments, and community empowerment across South Texas.
Ensuring every neighbor in Precinct 84 is registered, educated on candidates, and supported in casting their ballot.
Advocating for better drainage, well-lit streets, reliable utilities, and responsive county services.
