Primary Runoff Election

No candidate secured 50% of the vote during the March Primary in the following races. It is critical that Hidalgo County Democrats return to the polls on May 26th to definitively select our nominees for the General Election and for party leadership.

HD 41 Texas State Representative District 41

The seat for State Representative District 41 is open following Rep. Bobby Guerra's tenure. This runoff will determine the Democratic nominee for the Rio Grande Valley.

McAllen Mayor Pro Tem & City Commissioner

Victor "Seby" Haddad currently serves as a McAllen City Commissioner (District 5). A community banker, his campaign focuses on driving local economic development, improving infrastructure, and advocating for robust public education funding across the Rio Grande Valley.
